Deep cleaning

Windows, screens, high ledges and the interior top to bottom, for the home that needs more than a weekly pass.

What a weekly clean never reaches

A regular clean keeps the floors, counters and bathrooms in order. It rarely gets to the things that sit above eye level or behind glass: window panes and their tracks, the screens, the top of a tall cabinet, ceiling corners where dust and cobwebs collect, the glass on a light fixture. Those surfaces build up slowly, so nobody notices until the day the sun hits a window at the wrong angle.

A deep clean is the job that goes after all of it in one visit. Cabinet fronts and the door frames around them, ledges, vents, the interior of the house from the top down, not a lap around the visible parts. Sara handles deep cleans for Modesto homes. Tell her which rooms need it and what has built up, and she quotes that job by phone or text.

High to low, floors last

Dust falls, so the order matters. A deep clean runs from high to low: ceilings and the corners where walls meet them, light fixtures and tall ledges, then windows and screens, then the cabinets and surfaces at working height, and the floors at the very end. Reverse that and the work finished first gets covered again by the work done after it.

Height is its own problem in a house with a two-storey living room. One photo from a Go2Girl job shows an extension pole reaching the ceiling of a tall room with arched windows, which is how a room that size gets dusted without hauling a ladder across the floor.

Windows get their glass and their screens cleaned together, since a clear pane behind a dusty screen still looks half done.

When a deep clean is the right call

Darrell Champion hired Sara to clean his father's condo when his father moved to an assisted care facility. His Google review reads: “Windows, screens, and deep interior cleaning all done timely.” He added, “The place has never looked better.” That is one clear case, a home that needs a full reset for a reason that does not wait.

Other times are quieter: before a sale or a new season, after a stretch where the regular clean slipped, or as the first visit before starting regular service so every later clean begins from a reset house. Call or text Sara at (209) 486-5223, tell her what you are looking at, and she will tell you what the job takes.
